BACKGROUND & SKILLS

Throughout my life, I’ve had the great fortune to work on some truly inspiring projects, while meeting many influential individuals along the way. They've showed me that working together creates a whole that is greater than the sum of its parts. Between taking my first steps in High School, to having my first job, to preparing myself to walk into the real world, the things I've learned and the people I've met have shaped me into a better person; Not only for myself, but for the people that come into my life.

I often like to live based off the saying "Curiosity killed the cat". I'm a very curious person, and so my response is always "But satisfaction brought it back". Starting high school I was excited about what the world had to offer; Until I had my first seizure in 2015. Since transferring into New York Harbor School, my seizures have done nothing but made me more self-conscious. Always afraid I'd have one in the wrong place such as the lab. But finding peace in the things I do have since brought me peace of mind and has allowed me to move past my seizures and control them.

  • In 2016 I built and learned how to maintain my very first aquatic ecosystem

  • In 2017 I was a lab technician, so we learned how to maintain a lab. I also started my GIS course, and me and two others moved on to learning how to care for a much bigger quantity of fish (around 90 or so Tilapia)

  • In 2018 I had my very first job on governors Island doing Horticulture

  • And in 2019 I graduated with a CTE endorsement and a Silver Award.

**2020 UPDATE: It has officially been 1 year since my last seizure and I hope there are more seizure-free years to come**
